Finally.....

The past several days have been...strange. I don't recall much. I still feel rather under the weather, but well enough at least to sit up. Take stock of my surroundings. Also keep Jayce from dropping and burning any more potatoes in the fire. The living room still smells awful.

It feels as if I've made so little headway in clearing out the study despite having dedicated the better part of yesterday to the task....

I've discovered a journal that appears to be unused amidst the piles and piles of books. It looks...almost new. Jayce thinks I should use it as a personal record. I....suppose it would be a good idea to take note of my experiences alongside my observations.

I can hear Jayce giggling in the kitchen. I think perhaps hes had a bit more of the mulled wine than I.

Jayce has always been a touch more affectionate while drunk, but NEVER has he been quite....so...

Apologies for the silence, I have....not felt much up to sharing today. I did wish to show the progress I've made in the study, however. There were more shelves under the piles than I'd originally thought...
