For 12 years, I talked myself out of becoming a filmmaker. I’m too introverted, full time single father, need a degree, etc… It was just my own fears and insecurities. Everyday might not be great, but I have defeated those fears….finally!

Working on the outline for my short. Outlining is interesting but critical to world building concisely. Also helps me stay on budget since I’m paying for this myself.

Some days I fight the thoughts of being a fraud and lose. Other times, IDGAF and I’m free. Each day is its own adventure.

Researching plus outlining equals bliss. The process of writing is both frustrating and rewarding. Just like when I write music, when it all comes together the euphoria is the drug.

Finished my outline, now it’s time to focus on the script. I’m consistently pushing back on the notion of needing to know everything about film development. Knowledge is indeed power but simplification equals greater risk taking. The inner child speaks.

This morning I reflect on how wild it was being a full time single father. At times I felt like a failure struggling at every turn. Other times, I felt like a super human anomaly. In truth it grounded me and diminished my ego. Craziest roller coaster ever!

When you first meet me you probably won’t like me. I’ll either say some wild shit or I’ll be extremely quiet. I’m gregariously reticent. This makes networking……fun. Also, I fart when I’m nervous so if we’re talking for the first time and you smell something, yes it was me
