Today Ofwat published our draft determinations for 14 water companies #PR19. We have set stretching goals for the sector. Having seen the three fast-track companies lead the way, it’s time for the rest to step up and deliver for customers and the environment.

Really fascinating visit last Thursday to Portsmouth Water accompanied by three Ofwat NEDs. Shows that smaller companies can set the pace too on price and services and we learned how Havant Thicket reservoir will integrate into the system. Many thanks to the Portsmouth team.

A fantastic day with Anglian Water Essex & Suffolk Water and Northumbrian Water at #InnovateEast19 learning about new innovation in an established industry like water. Great to see people from across a diverse range of professional organisations taking part

Today we publish Ofwat’s service delivery report 2018-19, which shows encouraging signs by some companies, but more work is needed by the water sector as a whole to deliver for customers and the environment socsi.in/uZ0B3

Today Ofwat publishes #PR19 final determinations for all water companies - these increase investment in environment and resilience, demand higher service standards and bring bills down by £50, all while maintaining an investable proposition for capital #planstoreality

A great Sunday on Dartmoor with a local hill farmer, on a blustery wet day, looking at works to slow upland water run-off and improve downstream river quality. A model partnership with farmers, with sponsors including local water company South West Water

Brilliant, dedicated work from water co technicians who are hard at work this Easter keeping supplies flowing for customers - especially our hospitals and care homes. A big thanks from me too to these essential frontline workers

We are deeply saddened at the tragic loss of four lives today in Avonmouth. Our thoughts are with the people and families affected, everyone at Wessex Water carrying out vital work each and every day, as well as the emergency services working on this incident.

Fantastic to see the launch of Ofwat‘s #ListenCareShare conversation – the pandemic has been a particularly challenging time for customers and it's important we understand their experiences, to identify the steps the industry can take to help: ofwat.gov.uk/listencareshar…

There are significant challenges facing customers and the environment to which the water sector must respond. Collaboration is one key solution to meeting these and achieving our ambitions for the next price review. It's great to see conversations starting today. #MoreFromPR24
