कोरोनाकाल में थम सी गई मोतियाबिंद की सर्जरी के अभियान ने फिर जोर पकड़ा है और वित्तीय वर्ष 20-21 की तुलना में 21-22 में 43 हजार से ज्यादा लोगों की आंखों की रोशनी वापस लौटाने में सफलता मिली है। वर्ष 2025 तक चार लाख से ज्यादा सर्जरी करने का लक्ष्य रखा गया है।

डा. भीमराव आंबेडकर अस्पताल में आंखों की जांच व इलाज के लिए ग्रीन लेजर, फंडस कैमरा, ए स्कैन, स्लिट लैंप विद इमेजिंग, आपरेटिंग माइक्रोस्कोप लगाए गए हैं। मशीनों का लोकार्पण के लिए पहुंचे स्वास्थ्य मंत्री टी एस सिंहदेव ने कहा कि आंखों के मरीजों को नई मशीनों का लाभ मिलेगा।
