Meet Officer Thome! We have had several additions to the La Vista Police Department in recent months. To introduce our newest officers, we put together a series of short videos. First up is Officer Thome. Learn some fun facts and give him a warm welcome to La Vista Police.

Effective January, 18, at 8 a.m., the City of La Vista is in a snow emergency until 8 a.m. on Thursday, January 19. Please move all vehicles from residential streets to allow plow crews a clear path.

Congrats! The Sarpy County Crimestoppers named Officer Thome the La Vista Police Department Crimestopper of the Year. He earned this recognition for his investigative work and role in the pursuit/arrest of a suspect for possession of stolen property. La Vista Police

Meet K9 Flex! He’s the La Vista Police Department’s new K9 officer. K9 Flex is officially on duty after completing training with his handler, Officer Lucas Tiberi, and becoming narcotics and patrol certified. We’re excited to have this team to help keep La Vista safe!
