Here's something to look forward to lockdown or no lockdown. Just cycled part of it and it's superb. Full opening with tunnel planned for December. Led by Lake District National Park with a big contribution from Highways England. Good things do sometimes happen! Lake District

I take my helmet off to Wesley Hamnett. I spotted Wesley on this 3-year-old's bike in Carlisle en route from Glasgow to Manchester for 4 charities. He goes through Penrith and Kendal today to do a parachute jump in Morecambe. Then Russia to ride to Manchester but not on that bike!
Over the border in Newcastleton yesterday. Pleasantly surprised to see kids coming home from school on their bikes! Have no doubt this is down to initiatives of Scottish Cycling @leecraigie SustransCymru & others. The new 20mph speed limit also makes a big difference ScottishBordersInfo 🏴
