Trying to use as much scrap lumber in my workshop as I can to make more space. I used these junk 2×4s to make a quick drill rack for my workbench, but I have a lot more drill bits than this. So I'm going to have to make another one once I find all my bits.

Today, I spoke with the Jas Johal Show on CKNW about our plan to transform Granville Street between Davie and Georgia into a vibrant pedestrian zone this summer.
For five weeks during the FIFA World Cup, this five-block stretch in the heart of Vancouver’s entertainment district

2001: A Space Odyssey is on TV. 👍My mom took me to see it back in ~1968 when I was 10 because she knew I was interested in science & space. But when the psychedelic images streamed across the screen she got a painful migraine or something. I was riveted by all of it.

Really glad I built an assembly board to put on top of my table saw. It's extra bench space in a cramped workshop. Building a spindal sanding jig for my drill press. Urgently needed because not having it is a roadblock to finishing some other projects in my project pile.

I also slapped together a hammer rack for my workshop, with extra space for my missing hammers. It's a bit of a fortuitous mistake because I glued 2 pieces together wrong. But I actually like it better because I can put screwdrivers & accessories on the back area. 👍👇

I didn't wrap or cover my banana plants this year. Surprisingly, the stalks have held up and feel solid. I'll know more in a few weeks when I start paying attention to my garden in earnest. 👍

50 years ago on March 22, 1976, Star Wars began filming in Tunisia. Among the shots captured were the first attempts at Luke Skywalker's view of the iconic twin sunset. Although that first day's sunset shots were not ultimately used, they marked the first live action plate

I unclamped this Telecaster body glue-up when I got home tonight. It's solid & dead flat. 👍Progress has been slow, but the next step is to route it to its final shape with cavities for the pickups and electronics. I have a temporary Fender Squire neck for it once it's done. 👇

It was still light out when I got home, so I took a few minutes to cut the dried leaves off my banana plants. The stems are solid. The mild winter was kind to them. I didn't even wrap or protect them. Any other year they would have died back to the roots.
