Today is #MuscogeeMonday and we would like to highlight the fruit most associated with our state and that's the peach! "Pvkanv" pronounced (buh-GAH-nuh), meaning "a peach" August is known as "National Peach Month" and signifies the end of peach season in Georgia.

🚧TRAIL CLOSURE🚧 The Opelofa Trail, River Trail, and the trail between the Great Temple Mound and the Clay Pond are all CLOSED due to flooding caused by the rain storms over the past few days. All other trails are currently open! #NPS #Trail

🔻4/6/2022 Park Update:🔻 Because of the heavy rains yesterday, the Opelofa & River Trails are both closed due to flooding! Closure will remain in effect until waters have receded and maintenance can assess the trails.
