#grafting a block of choke cherry grafted over to assorted prunus. some are double worked onto a Toka or American plum interstem. the idea is to grow out flush of budwood and scion wood to serial graft, and also softwood for rooting. Also to trial compatibility. #propagation

Virginia creeper from seed some time in March. they’re up to the ceiling and still in small 2.5” pots. I would say you can get plants the size the garden centers sell in a just few months from seed. #virginiacreeper #propagation

toka plum grafted onto choke cherry in just it’s second growing season, an unusual combination I’m trialing to make use of the wild P. virginiana and add biodiversity #grafting #plumtree

haskaps hardened off and going in the ground. these rooted a couple of weeks ago and had some part shade and gradually less mist, last move is into full sun a few days. new leaf growth is good, the new ones will handle hot and dry full sun. #propagation #haskap #honeyberry
