80 years ago today the Second World War finally came to an end with Victory in Japan. A war often known as the forgotten war. Today we say Thankyou and we remember all those servicemen and woman who played their part and Those that paid the ultimate sacrifice.

We had some very distinguished visitors at the Rutland Veterans Hub this morning, to celebrate the birthday 🎂 of a very special gentleman. Thank you to all who made this event so memorable!

The first Saturday morning of every month is Armed Forces #Veterans Breakfast Club day ⁦Grainstore Brewery⁩ in #Oakham. As usual the place was a buzz with happy chatter and good ( inexpensive) cooked #breakfasts ⁦Rutland AFVBC⁩ All who have served are welcome.
