Last night, we continued to answer the call for the community & address complaints that affect their quality of life. Joined by NYPD Midtown South & NYC Sanitation, we removed illegally parked & unregistered mopeds & derelict bicycles from Midtown, clearing space for residents.


Your complaints 🤝Our solutions Community concerns about derelict vehicles in Astoria were answered on Monday in a joint operation with the NYPD 114th Precinct, NYC Sanitation, FDNY & our team. 28 vehicles were removed, helping to clean up the neighborhood & improve quality of life.


Corona — You spoke, we listened. After receiving community complaints about derelict vehicles & RV's parked along Northern Blvd near Citi Field, we conducted an operation last night with the NYPD 110th Precinct, Chief of Transportation, NYC Sanitation & FDNY, removing multiple vehicles.

Today, Mayor Eric Adams and I are announcing a new Quality of Life Division in the NYPD to address the everyday issues that impact New Yorkers' sense of safety and well-being in their neighborhoods. This is about tackling the concerns coming directly from communities across the city.

On Monday, the Quality of Life Division launched it's pilot program in the NYPD 13th Precinct, NYPD 40th Precinct, NYPD 60th Precinct, NYPD 75th Precinct, NYPD 101st Precinct, & NYPD Housing PSA 1. Officers from those commands hit the ground running with operations aimed at improving the quality of life for their communities.


Monday night, your NYPD 60th Precinct Quality of Life team was out in Coney Island to address numerous 311 calls of derelict and illegally parked vehicles. With the assistance of Chief of Transportation, 45 vehicles were removed, freeing up parking for residents in the community.


“We have been fighting crime so effectively year over year with double-digit reductions. These types of issues we’re focusing on now need renewed attention. We can do both & we will,” Chief Glynn said as he detailed our efforts to the New York Post. Read more⬇️ nypost.com/2025/04/29/us-…

Community complaints are being heard and we are taking action to resolve them! Last week, your Quality of Life Division officers joined Chief of Transportation and the NYPD 114th Precinct to remove several trucks and commercial vehicles that were illegally parked.

The Brooklyn Bridge has been a frequent location of complaints for illegal vending, so your Quality of Life Division officers teamed up with the NYPD 84th Precinct, Citywide Community Response Team, and NYC Sanitation to correct the issue.

Illegal smoke shop? Not on our watch! This morning, we joined the NYPD 115th Precinct and NYC Consumer and Worker Protection to reseal an illegal smoke shop that had been locked up in the past. Working closely with our partners, we will continue to improve the quality of life in our city.


This past Sunday, Quality of Life officers from the NYPD 75th Precinct worked with a local store that had been repeatedly targeted for shoplifting & made an arrest, closing out 11 open cases. If that wasn't enough, they arrested his accomplice yesterday, closing 10 additional cases.


Astoria, your calls have been answered. Last night, our team joined the NYPD 114th Precinct and Chief of Transportation to remove 15 commercial vehicles from 41st St, between 35th and 36th Ave. Following their removal, NYC Sanitation cleaned the area, helping to improve the community.


Yesterday, we joined the NYPD 40th Precinct Quality of Life Team to address community complaints of unregistered and derelict mopeds parked on city sidewalks. 13 mopeds were removed, helping to clear the sidewalks and improve the quality of life in the community.
