What happened at the UN Climate Change #SB2021? Bangladesh on behalf of the Climate Vulnerable Forum called for Loss and Damage as mentioned in the "Paris Agreement" to become a standing item in every COP, commencing with #COP26 to be held in Glasgow in November 2021.

Just imagine how the poorest communities of the Global South are coping with intense and more frequent flooding and cyclones due to climate change! It's #unfair. Still the rich nations veto climate actions. Please have this in mind - no one is safe until everyone is safe.

Day 99 of the countdown to COP26 in the era of Loss&Damage Network : 118 People sadly lost their lives in flash floods in India while #G20Italy ministers fail to make progress! Everyone needs to do more everywhere, everyday!

Not only should Rt Hon Lord Alok Sharma and UK COP26 Presidency appoint a Special Envoy for Loss&Damage Network but so should António Guterres appoint one as well. Both of them could develop a pathway from COP26 to COP27 to put Loss&Damage Network firmly on the agenda at every COP! John Kerry

Addressing loss and damage requires additional funding. It's about #ClimateJustice, it's about compensating the climate change affected individuals and communities who contributed least to the problem.
