Nursery made the most of the rainy morning by heading outside to play in the rain. Lots of colour mixing fun and jumping in puddles joy was had. The rain also prompted lots of interesting questions and conversations with the children. Brookburn Primary

Nursery took their first trip to the Den today. It was so exciting! We even saw a Dinosaur egg! lots of joy running and jumping in the autumn sunshine. Great fun had by all, can’t wait for next week! Brookburn Primary

We took our learning into the hall this morning so we had a big space to draw Dinosaur pictures. The produced drawings were so impressive and produced some excellent language and Dinosaur discussion! @BethanHulse came to see how talented our Nursery children are! Brookburn Primary

Our Teddy Bear’s picnic has an international feel! One Nursery superstar has brought a Spanish teddy and accompanying book in to show. Luckily Mrs Kono speaks many languages and she is reading the story. So exciting! Brookburn Primary

Nursery brought their own bears to school today to enhance our learning about Goldilocks and the 3 Bears. The children sorted the bears by size this morning and took them on a Teddy Bear’s picnic this afternoon to the secret woods! Brookburn Primary

This morning, our wonderful friend Childminder Sue came to Nursery to lead a music session with her special handmade bamboo sticks. We listened to the beat, tapped our sticks and moved to the music. It was fabulous. Thank you Sue, what a great Friday treat Brookburn Primary

We took our learning outside this morning to retell our story of the week. the children had a great time acting out the story and repeating key phrases from the 3 Billy Goats Gruff. We then had a treasure hunt to find fairytale characters! Brookburn Primary

Can you believe what happened today at Nursery? Santa took time out to pay us a visit! How exciting! The children were so excited to meet him and asked lots of brilliant questions about the elves and reindeers. A big thank you to Santa and also Brookburn PTA for organising!

It’s a winter wonderland in our outside area today. There are such pretty patterns in the ice and the frozen ducks are even skating on the ice! We can’t wait to explore this later!

This afternoon we have introduced the ‘I in Kind’ to the class. Each week, one child from each group will be rewarded with a certificate for acts of kindness well done to the first 3 children to be given the award
