Gold medal of James VI & I. It was possibly gifted to one of James’s prominent supporters. It’s one of the most beautiful objects I’ve ever held. William Hunter acquired it sometime between 1770 & 1783. It’s now in the #numismatic collection of the The Hunterian #ScottishHistory
