The TX Senate called to order -- and promptly recessed until Thursday morning.

Sorry the two reposts from Kelly Rasti are out of order. The House should pass SB2 as is; likewise the Senate should pass HB2/HJR1. Send the bills to Gov. Abbott (HJR1 doesn't go to him as it is a proposed constitutional amendment) and make him decide if he wants to look bad.

The TX Senate actually did some work today: they concurred with the House amendments to SB3. Now a couple of memorial resolutions.

And the TX House has just adjourned sine die. Rep Allison was going to make a motion to hear SB2 without committee hearing; the Speaker told him he would not be recognized for such a motion. Meanwhile the TX Senate is "at ease" with only one clerk in the chamber.
