During 3 October weekends in #CatholicSTL, our parishes were counting how many people were at Mass. Our annual Mass Count found that 26.8% of registered Catholics were at Mass, down 0.4% a year ago and down from 32% 8 years ago. When was the last time u invited someone to Mass?

Despite the Catholic population in #CatholicSTL continuing to move to the suburbs and beyond, some of the most densely populated Catholic areas are still in the City of St. Louis. The data below DOES NOT depict parish of membership, but where Catholics actually live.

Congrats to our new Archbishop-Elect Mitchell Rozanski. Little trivia. Archbishop-Elect Rozanski grew up in the Archdiocese of Baltimore, 1st Catholic archdiocese in the US (est. in 1808). He will now serve as Archbishop in the 2nd archdiocese in the US - St. Louis (est 1847)

Catholic elementary schools are strong in many parts of #CatholicSTL. The following schools have increased enrollment at least 3 consecutive years. Some have increased more years than that. These schools represent 8 of our 11 counties.

Most and least densely populated Catholic areas in #CatholicSTL measured by Catholics per square mile in each parish's boundaries. Not surprising about the least dense areas - in our rural counties, but some of the most densely populated are interesting
