Franklin’s foursome in the Class 2A boys 400 freestyle relay medaled fourth (3:12.62) and Cathedral Prep fifth (3:14.33). That was the last championship race for the boys portion of this weekend’s small-school state meet at Bucknell University’s Kinney Natatorium.

In an instant classic, the Franklin Knights booked their ticket to Hershey to compete for the PIAA Class 3A state championship! The top 2 seeds from District 10 met in a heavyweight battle, and the Knights came out on top over Girard in front of a packed McComb Fieldhouse.

The Franklin Basketball team wasn’t the only program that saw success at the state level this Winter. The Franklin swimming team sent 5 representatives to the State Championships. Coming home with a total of 11 medals in 5 different events. Onto the spring…
