For ages 65+ this virus has a mortality rate of 13%. How many farmers and ranchers are over 65? Over 1/3 of this industry. How many of us have health insurance or a rural hospital with ICU beds available?

Kinda crazy how many people are capitalists who want free markets when profits & expansion can go up to infinity, yet as soon as significant losses set in they want an emergency life line or systems/practices in place to limit losses A true free market is survival of the fittest

Today I’m thankful for the farm, wide open spaces, a sunny day, and a big blue sky.🌞 If I’ve learned anything in my The Four Agreements journey, it’s that nothing is permanent. Therefore, stressing isn’t necessary because no matter what, the situation will always change. #stoic

A great article: "..activists are not swarming farms because they believe that there is illegal activity. They are entering farms because they don’t think animal agriculture should exist at all. That is a critically important distinction that seems lost in the sympathetic media"

A 200,000 acre 10,000 head cattle ranch for sale in one of the most picturesque States… Alaska. Rounding up the herd with helicopters while a volcano is looming in the background would be interesting. Instead of semis and cattle pots, you load directly onto carrier ships.

You know your farming right when you point out your favourite cow and they ask, what do you do different since she’s your favourite? And you reply: nothing 💕

Although it is not completely finished I’ve just launched a new website show casing past projects. Make sure you check out svenska.ca before purchasing a new building for your farm or business!

A few weeks ago I asked #cdnag farmers to share their experiences with work. The results of a #twitterpoll combined with my own opinion resulted in a The Western Producer column: Why do we work so much? Even after all this, I’m still left wondering.. producer.com/2020/11/why-do…

The goal is not to influence, to change minds, but to empower others to explore the depths of their own mind, their own way of thinking and being. -ME re: everything

Ownership vrs renting is a game of tradeoffs.   Renting = fast growth, ability to get bulk discounts sooner, variable expenses. Ownership = slow growth, but strong balance sheet building long term equity with fixed expenses.   I think the sweet spot lays somewhere in the middle.
