Last week, we celebrated the countdown to Winter Break with our annual Winter Spirit Week. For today and tomorrow, we want to share with you some of the spirit we saw!

Today, Student Council members brainstormed and voted on our upcoming Black History Month Spirit Week. More details to come!

This past week, we celebrated School Counselor Appreciation Week by showing our fantastic guidance counselors how much we love them by decorating the outside of their offices! Thank you for all that you do.

We were honored to participate in Stony Brook Elementary’s Read Across America Celebration! Some of our members visited different classrooms to share their love of reading!

This morning, some of our Student Council members visited the North Plainfield Schools board office to learn about how the board of education operates and jobs that are required to run our district. Thank you Dr. Aquino and all for welcoming us!

All students are invited to join the fun at our color run! This event will take place at the end of field day and is a great way to wrap up the afternoon with energy and color. Permission slips are due to Mr. Gelber by Tuesday, 5/20.

On Friday, Student Council members visited the North Plainfield Food Bank to assist with spring cleanup in their garden. A big thank you to our members who came out and did an amazing job, even in the heat. Your hard work is truly appreciated!

Over the next two weeks, we’re looking back at the journey that closed out our school year. Follow along as we revisit the highlights of our final month of school. Our journey through June begins with the Color Run organized by our members!

Next in our June recap: the 8th Grade Dance. Planned by Student Council, the night was filled with music, memories, and celebration for the Class of 2025. Keep an eye out for more of the moments that made June special!

While our year is about to come to a start, we want to thank some of our members who came in this week and helped us welcome our newest students. We are looking forward to a great year!

Our Student Council Executive Board spent the day at the NJ Association of Student Councils Fall Conference at TCNJ! They connected with student leaders from across New Jersey and met some special friends as well🐶

Our first spirit week is in the books! Thank you for participating in our Hispanic Heritage Spirit Week. Congrats to 7th grade for being in the lead. Looking forward to our Winter Spirit Week coming at the end of the year.

Our student leaders took a bonding trip to the New Jersey Hall of Fame — where Jersey’s best are celebrated! We’re feeling inspired for this year to lead like the legends who made it into the Hall! 💪

Yesterday, our Student Council leaders went to TCNJ for the NJASC Winter Convention to grow, learn, and lead for our school. Our members found great ideas to improve our school and we cant wait to show you. Stay tuned!
