A whole half with a man down & still went on to score to win the game. We’ve shown we can play pretty football, we’ve shown resilience in the face of adversity & today we’ve shown we can do it even with a man down. This team & manager are special. Van de Ven + Romero impeccable.
Telling others not to worry about Spurs being top of the league while going through our end of season run in just reeks of insecurity
We’re just vibing and enjoying our team lol, why are people actually this bothered about us if they’re so certain we’ll fall off? 🤣
Get the three points and get out of there. Just one of those games. Made it harder than it probably should have been in the end. Got it over the line at least. Another win. We moveeeeee. #AngeBall
That VAR decision almost cost us in the end. Clear handball. They see it back for 3 minutes and still decided the goal should stand. Robbed off a clean sheet.
Anytime Van de Ven is 1v1 with any attacker I’m not worried at all. The confidence he oozes and provides the entire back line with is incredible. Complements Romero perfectly.
Not gonna pretend I hate him but there’s absolutely no love for him as long as he’s managing that football club. Monday night you’re stepping into enemy territory. And we don’t take any prisoners
Honestly, not being dramatic or anything, but that might have been the worst half of football I have ever watched. We were doing so well for 10 minutes, and then… what even happened?! Everything that could’ve gone wrong has gone wrong.
So, so disappointed in Romero. He was doing so well all season and tonight he’s gone to his old ways. Unnecessarily rash and let the occasion get to him, probably costing us our first league loss of the season.
James Maddison has suffered from an ongoing recurring issue in his ankle and it’s now been discovered that the ligaments are damaged. Initial indications suggest a period of anything between 1-3 months recovery.
Rival fans celebrating our injuries just shows how concerned they were about us deep down. This is nothing more than a set-back, it happens. We’re only four months into a new project, and we’ll get better and stronger beyond this season. Definitely haven’t seen the last of us.
That was a performance that resembled much of last season and it’s not shocking when you see the players we had to bring in to the starting XI to replace the injuries/suspensions.
This club is always full of surprises. Turning up away from home with our B team against the European champions and treble winners, scoring three goals, and leaving with a point while winding everyone up. What a club man
