The rule of law is one of most important principles in every country (if not the most). Other presidencies have violated in the past. But the current U.S. administration has done it more than any other administration in my lifetime.

Countries have increasingly used the National Security Exception argument across various areas (trade policy, internal policy, taxation). Interesting development. At least on the trade law side, it was meant to be a narrow exception.
