Wee Barra 🐿 received this beautiful card today, from Rachel House. One of the children did the wonderful art work. Barra is ‘fair chuffed’ to say the least. Thank you so much! ❤️

Barra met a new friend at Oakbank Primary School, called Travelling Ted. Both of them tried some sums together! Not quite sure how they got on . . . but they tried!

At a craft fair, I met a lovely artist - Liz Myhill - who just happens to work in a room, which was my old classroom when I was a teacher. As well as stunning paintings, she had cards for sale . . . one of which was a red squirrel! Wee Barra was delighted. What a coincidence too!

The lovely framed picture of Barra’s special Certificate and Badge. He was given these when he was made an honorary Rainbow a few months ago. A great honour - especially as he’s a boy! 🐿 Thank you so much to everyone who organised this for him. ❤️

Barra 🐿 and myself went to the beautiful V&A Museum in Dundee today. We enjoyed the stunning Kimono exhibition. ❤️ Thank you to lovely Matt for taking Barra’s pictures.

Lovely little Barra spotted this fabulous chair at the V&A Museum, Dundee. It’s covered with positive words and sentiments and both Barra and myself ❤️ it.

Barra the Squirrel received a huge amount of thank you cards and letters, for his visit to Oakbank Primary School, Perth. ❤️ Thank you so much to the children and teachers for the kind thoughts and words . . . not to mention fabulous art work! 🥰

Barra, have you never heard that “two’s company, three’s a crowd”? I just love this statue in Buchanan Street Bus Station, Glasgow. Created by a Mr. Clinch, no less!

Barra the Squirrel spent the most fantastic morning on The Waverley Paddle Steamer sailing “doon the watter” on the River Clyde. He got to meet lots of lovely people, including the Captains, Purser and Crew. He had a brilliant time!

A fabulous picnic was had by these two besties today! X

Barra is having a spa day today! Had his back and neck massage and now off for a sauna. It must be great being a squirrel-of-leisure! 🥰🐿

Barra the Squirrel and the Spaceship . . . Marketing, by my publisher, has now started in advance of book 2’s appearance on 13th September. Waterstones and Amazon will be taking pre-orders before that date. Excitement is mounting!

Well, here I am getting a cut, blow dry and tail straightener in Headline Hair Salon, Perth, with Barbara the owner/stylist. Felt I’d best make the effort with Publication Day of book 2 fast approaching!

I had a fantastic afternoon yesterday at a Careers Fayre in Letham Primary School, Perth. I enjoyed explaining to the children what my job involved as an author. It was great to see all the different workers/professionals who attended too. A superb initiative by the school.

In advance of Publication Day on Friday (13/9) I received some promo bits and pieces plus the actual book. Delighted with it all! Raring to go with school visits again, so please feel free to get in touch! ❤️🐿

A fantastic weekend: first, Barra’s Publication Day then a beautiful Irish wedding. Barra enjoyed it all, as did I!

Thank you to Oakbank Primary School, Perth, for inviting me to read Book 2 ‘Barra the Squirrel and the Spaceship‘ to Primary 4. I had a lovely time, especially as this was the first class I had read the new book to!
