8:30 AM update – Turns out traffic is pretty mellow today and we've got plenty of parking, without much inflow on local roads. Considering that and the 2–4 inches of new snow on top of the 20+ in the past two weeks, today would be a great day to come make some laps! #cowx

It's another lovely day up here at Eldora Nordic! The Trail Guru skied this a.m. and here's her update: "perfect grooming, perfect day." Here's a picture of Phoebe Meadows this morning to prove it. Pristine, baby. 25K now open!

The Eldora Nordic Hot Chocolate Chronicles continue with a visit from 4-year-old Izabella, who drank, chatted, and pretended to be a human-bone-eating dog while warming up with her mother in the lodge. Love the boots, "Cherry" (<<a name she gave herself after some sips).

Report from Nordic is it's windy outside the gate but not as bad in the inner sanctum. Trails are gorgeous if not a tad drifted in places. Takeaway: It's really, reaaalllllyyy good. So if you want it, here it is, come and get it. Like Badfinger says.

Nordic skiers! The trails are magnificent today, thanks to our groomers, who work throughout the night to make them so. It's been calm, quiet and super beautiful up here. Come slide classic-only Zarlengo's Loop, or get your skate on in Buckeye Basin. Both: dreamy.

Hello, Nords. A storm cell brought us mucho precip in the last 24 hours. We groomed, as we do every night into the predawn hours, but the snow continued. So there's some fluff on top of the groomed. But it's beautiful as all get out (and, you know, snow is gold). Ski ya soon!
