Our mission to halve knife crime requires a radical and holistic approach. Yesterday I met with key retailers and suppliers to discuss how we can increase the manufacture and sale of rounded knives. We are listening and we will stop at nothing to save lives.

We were not invited to meet with The British Retail Consortium and Diana Johnson DBE MP 🇬🇧🇺🇦🌈 but as we met with the Home Office just days before, and the fact they were discussing the very thing we have been campaigning for, the big hope is that they talked about Tracy's Law and a safer way to sell knives

From today, under Ronan's Law, ninja swords will be banned nationwide - with thanks to Pooja Kanda, who campaigned tirelessly in her son’s name, refusing to accept any more lives lost to violence. This is a vital step in delivering our mission to halve knife crime in a decade.

After our survey of @tesco in Brixton showed they do not sell knives, our followers have been about to confirm @aldiuk in Ramsgate, and @morrisons in Petts Wood also have stopped selling knives. Maybe our campaign is starting to have an impact. What do you think? #nopointknives

We nearly praised IKEA UK for selling knives in a cabinet just like Tracys Law... but there's a shelf of knives for Sale below! This is against the voluntary agreement; no advertising of age restrictions, no point covers, no security tags and access to these are not restricted.

Over and over again, @lidlgb argument is that "we follow all legal requirements " That's the problem with the voluntary agreement on selling knives safely is that it isn't worth the paper its written on, retailers like Lidl just ignore it as its not legally binding.
