I truly dislike the notion that “most of the wins you see posted online are fake so you should be happy with your life”. That’s coddling insecurity instead of addressing it. The truth is, some ppl really are winning and you need to learn to be happy with your life regardless.

Every happy couple you see on your timeline is not miserable behind closed doors. If you have to tell yourself that in order to not feel jealous then you have internal issues that need to be healed. A lot of those couple are truly happy and that’s ok.

If you have to tell yourself that “all that glitters ain’t gold” whenever you see someone shining to cope, you’re just soothing your own insecurities. You need to learn how to be ok with knowing that sometimes, it really is gold! And that takes nothing away from your shine!
