However, the FIGHT IS NOT OVER and many questions remain. President Donald J. Trump is still currently building 13 miles of border walls in the #RGV and there are no signs he intends to stop

Ongoing border wall construction in the #RGV is not only causing incalculable harm, but also represents a violation of President Donald J. Trump commitment that #NotAnotherFoot of wall would go up under his watch

Join us in taking action! Together with a network of 62 organizations, Indigenous tribes, and community groups across the border, we have sent ARCHIVED: Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas and Secretary Deb Haaland a letter urging them to stop construction of #BidensWall in the #RGV

Biden is building a deadly border wall made of surveillance tech that will be used to detain, deport, & kill our people. We're w/ Just Futures Law & No Border Wall in a space for activists & community members to learn abt the tools being used to surveil our ppl! #NoVirtualWall🧡

For over five years we have been part of the #NoTechForICE campaign tracking surveillance tech that is used to harm our communities & now we have a question for you. Which, if any, of the following surveillance technologies have you heard previously heard about? πŸ€”

"These technologies don't come from nowhere. This is originally military tech deployed in Vietnam. That system got developed ...then one company tested their tech on Palestinians while a wall was being built in the West Bank"- Julie Mao Just Futures Law

Last month, DHS announced it would cancel some border wall contracts in the Rio Grande Valley. This is a win! But, the fight isn't over. Biden is still building under the guise of "levee repairs." Join No Border Wall's demand to END ALL construction NOW! actionnetwork.org/letters/not-an…

"How far does the digital border wall stretch- is the surveillance occurring in local communities in the US?" That is a great question! Customs & Border Patrol actually has a 100 mile border zone. Roughly 2/3 of this zone is part of the US and is subject to surveillance.

Remember: The surveillance happening at the border is expansive and deadly. But we are not powerless. Community organizing creates change & pushes us towards a safer world one win at a time. Join #NoTechForICE & help hold President Donald J. Trump accountable to NO border walls! Txt 40647 TODAYπŸ”₯

This was my dad in his youth. Today he would have turned 75 but instead he passed away at 52 because the farmer he worked for saw him more as property than as a person. I miss him everyday. Do me a favor and humanize farmworkers and all workers/poor people. Do it for Pedro.

Let’s talk about Border Patrol’s presence today at Charro Days β€” the annual festival in Brownsville, Texas where border residents celebrate the region’s rich multicultural and binational identity 🧡

Border Patrol uses Charro Days as an opportunity to spread propaganda and exploit youth. In addition to marching in parades with weapons on display, they recruit high school students on campuses in some of the most financially insecure communities in the country.

Brownsville residents know first-hand that encounters with Border Patrol β€” the largest police agency in the country β€” can lead to the death of newcomers and border residents alike. And they know agents act with impunity and are accountable to no one. Some recent headlines:

Brownsville residents know that Border Patrol agents instill fear, cause harm, and act with impunity. Until that changes, this border community will continue to speak out against their presence at Charro Days.
