I think being a constructive player in the EU and NATO has generally served Estonia well.
But it is disturbing and telling that NATO is not ready to have a SecGen from an Eastern flank member.

Finland and Sweden add political solidarity, geographical depth, and military muscle to #NATO .

But they could make it harder for NATO to get its balance between collective #defense and continental dialogue with Russia right, argues Sten Rynning.

Interesting poll by lnternationale Politik Quarterly : 54% of Germans (highest score 58% among SPD voters) do not think Trump would, if re-elected, militarily protect Europe.

Other polls show consistently that German public is strongly supportive of more EU defence.
