Yesterday we welcomed a new group of Year 7s onto the Newmarket Academy @Godolphin Beacon Project (NAGBP). To mark the beginning of the 9th year of this programme, Group One winning racehorse Blair House came to the school for a special visit as part of #nationalracehorseweek.

It was a fantastic Horse Heritage day for Newmarket Academy students today. They learnt many things including how many nails it takes to shoe the racehorses of Newmarket! Thank you National Horseracing Museum and Darley for all the great information and learning. Roll on tomorrow #NAGBP

Another great day with Newmarket Academy with visits to see some of the Darley progeny at the Tattersalls yearling sales. The students also gained some hands-on experience with ponies and horses at Newmarket Pony Academy. The equine favourite of the day was Jack the pony! #NAGBP

Yesterday, Year 11 pupils from Newmarket Academy studying Hospitality cemented their learning with the help of local Heath Court Hotel's dedicated team. Pupils toured the facilities and heard how the hotel supports the community before being treated to a fabulous breakfast. #NAGBP
