We wanted to give you an update about the M6 motorway closure due to a serious collision on the motorway close to junction 33. The collision involved an HGV travelling northbound which crossed onto the southbound carriageway & collided with a number of other vehicles.

National highways has confirmed M6 Lancashire will remain closed between j32 and j 33 in both direction until around 4am on Thursday. BBC Lancashire
