I'm going to be honest I don't see the appeal in space. Wanting people to live there feels so reddit. We've already got a perfectly good planet here, why are people soyying about living on military rations on a dome in a shitty wasteland?

thinking about Mike Tyson and what incredible athleticism it takes to bite someone’s ear off in the heat of the moment. I’d probably just bonk my teeth on their skull.

Exciting but also it is dumb to do this without adding 20 stories of apartments on top of (granted, DC height limits means 3ft ceiling height, but still)

The runty kitten has a purr that is four octaves below middle C and roughly the same volume as a braking subway train. The old man is having none of it, sleeping on the couch in protest.

I don’t watch boxing much, but I’m glad to be doing it on X, the Everything App, presented by “MethStreams.com - Netflix is having issues”

The drip, drip, drip of votes from California, in addition to being unjust to the state's voters, and adding to the skepticism of our election integrity, also is just bad for Democrats because GOP margins on election night and the days after is inflated!

this part is critical: with a few exceptions, NYC's democratic machines are dead. immigrants, transplants & young people with no interest in the old guard's politics have replaced the old base county parties/clubs are too busy fighting the left to organize for general elections

Yep. And let's be clear: Yglesias was a much-listened to voice in Biden WH & Shor was allowed to oversee a $700 million super-PAC campaiging . These jokers got the presidency they wanted and the campaign they wanted. They are trying to scapegoat low-power groups for their own

It’s pretty crazy how the cities-only rent unaffordability problem (NY/SF) exploded to the rest of the country during COVID. We do have a national housing shortage, but this can’t be explained by the fundamentals.
