One of the foremost crystallographers of India, Prof. Vijayan successfully established & expanded macromolecular crystallography in the country. He also mentored several successful researchers in his laboratory at MBU, IISc. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered forever.

April 25, 1953 a paper was published by Watson & Crick which described molecular structure of DNA. Since then every year on 25 April people in science celebrate DNA Day. Happy #DNADay
