Finding a high paying 9-5 where you acquire assets is a solid strategy. And to be honest thatโ€™s why many people have been flocking to tech.

Even completing all these won't guarantee you the job: 1. Getting a referral 2. Using a resume writer for each application 3. Write a 3-page cover letter 4. Have an excellent on-site interview 5. Have 10k follows on Twitter / LinkedIn

Welp, I did not see that coming. I don't know how I feel about Google Domains being sold to Squarespace. Does anyone have any recommendations for a simple domain provider that can serve as a graveyard for all the domains I bought for side projects I never started? TIA

Finally got some time back to be back on Twitter. I'm considering hosting a Twitter space later this week; there are no topics yet, but it will probably center around tech, career, and FIRE. Also, I'm disappointed that DMX isn't auto-playing after the Twitter name change.

Got to hop on the Exponential Growth Podcast, where I got to share my journey in tech. Even talked about how I used my land navigation skills from the military to pass a coding interview. ๐Ÿ˜‚ I also cover some of my thought processes on why I took a step back from an associate

My process for solving any problem for the past 10 years: 1. Understand the problem 2. Timebox my solutions 3. Ask for help 4. Repeat This ensures I don't rob myself of the opportunity to learn by doing. This made it easier for others to help me. What's your process?

Nicu Parente (@nicuparente) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Don't know what side project to build? Then you should start by solving a problem you face regularly. Why? Because: 1. You already know the problem. 2. You will have 1 guaranteed user, YOU. 3. At best, you make $$$ of it. At worst, you solved your own problem. Build it!

Got to sneak in some coding while doing home renovations. What the heck am I building? Card Crate, a mobile app that makes it easy to create digital card decks. Why? To save relationships. By choosing a place when your partner can't answer where they want to eat.

For my 9 years in tech and Iโ€™ve had 13 managers In fact, during my 4.5-year stint at Microsoft, I've had 7 direct manager changes. Even with this manager churn I was able to successfully pivot my tech career 3 times and get 5 promotions. The biggest lesson I learned was that
