It’s me being drunk and still doing my skin care FOR ME.

I've had 2 dads recently where the lactation consultant comes in to help momma start pumping and they'll face her chair away from the window(s) for privacy and BOTH of these dads have said "good, I dont like to share" Am I wrong for being uncomfortable with that comment??

Cannulated a baby to VA ECMO today. For the second time. I’ve cared for quite a few babes on ECMO but rarely do I get to cannulate. Do you ever leave work and think, “I can’t believe I just did that”?

Currently in this Midwest winter storm — it’s currently thundering with lightning while snowing… why do I live in a state where it can thunder while snowing??

Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE snow and the cold. But I cannot stand thunderstorms 😞

Woke up at 0430 yesterday. Worked a 12 hour shift. Finally, FINALLY fell asleep at 0200. Then woke up at 0800. Send help. Send coffee. 🆘

Re-cannulated a baby (that I have already cannulated once before) to ECMO tonight. Exhausted.

I put a scalp treatment on, and started cleaning the house. Forgot about said scalp treatment and now my hair is rock hard. 😂

A week ago tonight I lost my father. My guidepost for everything, my best friend. I asked for a sign that he would come to say hi now and then, and I started to see Canadian geese everywhere. In the road while I’m driving, flying over my car, near my home honking.

Geese are stubborn, do-what-they-want animals. Just like my father. But they also never leave their loved ones and they mate for life. Just like my father.

So if you see a wayward Canadian goose in your travels, send a thought or prayer if that’s your thing, and know someone out there appreciates it deeply 🤍

Lost my father, my cat, and then my grandmother all within the last seven weeks. Hanging on by the thinnest of threads.

Grief is so weird. I took my car in for an oil change and the person who took care of me is the same one that always took care of my dad. Burst into tears at the *car dealership* of all places.

Found out I was pregnant at around 4 weeks. Lost it at 5 and 2. Remarkably sad about it. 😞

So I have a cousin that’s pregnant and asked if she could name her baby after my father (middle name, not first). Am I wrong for telling her no?

It just makes me feel so weird! Naming a child after my father should be for ME to do, not his niece.

And I can still acknowledge it was a nice gesture, and it was thoughtful to ask.
