The Associated Press Was there an editor or management level employee at The Associated Press who stopped and asked if they should really publish a puff piece article to gather sympathy for the Hezbollah terrorists who were injured in the pager operation? Their moral compass must've blown up with the beepers.

We were finally seeing relief from our decade-long opioid crisis as OD deaths began declining in 2023. Cuts to SAMHSA, Medicaid, and more are bound to reverse that progress. Health officials need to watch closely and be ready with new strategies. nytimes.com/2025/08/28/opi…

2 steps hospitals should take after patients at risk of suicide are discharged: warm handoffs to a behavioral health provider and follow-up contact. Yet only about a third of hospitals do. Read more from Pew Health: pewtrsts.org/4n0wxUv #suicidepreventionmonth

Measles vaccination had a good run in the US. Reducing measles from 100s of thousands of cases per year in the 1940s, to mere dozens per year in the 2000s. Shameful to see it rebound. In a more sensible world, we'd all be pushing for global eradication of measles.

The whole point of political debate is resolve disputes WITHOUT violence. What happened to Charlie Kirk is simply horrific and sickening. And on a college campus, no less, a place where we should be celebrating speech, not trying to silence it. Everyone in the political arena

Wow: In WaPo op-ed, Donna Brazile, a Democratic Party heavyweight who is close to D.C. Delegate Eleanor Holmes Norton, is calling on her longtime friend not to run for re-election. Norton has been noticeably diminished in recent years; she’s now 88. washingtonpost.com/opinions/2025/…

Is the issue that society tries to control pregnant women, or that pregnant women try to control the outcomes of their pregnancies? Many willingly sacrifice to protect the baby's health though that's not always a guarantee. statnews.com/2025/09/16/tyl… via STAT

Where did Dems get the idea that they should support their candidates even if they say awful, offensive things? I hope someone gets to the bottom of this mystery.

Mostly what I've seen from Congress the past 14 years on health care is proposals to rearrange who pays for health care and who gets what subsidies and who pays tax, not to attack the costs that have the US paying far more than our competitors for the same services, drugs, etc.

The evolving overdose crisis is distressing, but states don't need to start from scratch with their treatment systems. Massachusetts built on their opioid addiction care model and is seeing access - and enrollment - go way up: pewtrsts.org/3Mki60p
