Uninterrupted lunches, if you even get a lunch, are a rarity. They do it because they get away with it. Nurses deserve better. #greedyhospitals

I'm learning to do a personal debrief after my role in caring for trauma pts. Did I cross the line from empathy to anguish? Did I over-invest & am I unscathed bc of it, or have I let this situation that I can't control, seep into my being? Most of all: Am I ok? Is my team ok?

So many patients just like this one...and WORSE! Then people wonder why you can’t keep bedside nurses...🤷🏼‍♀️😡

Hey #MedTwitter, what is the most hilarious direct patient quote you have ever documented? Mine: “and why did I get so drunk alone? Be 👏🏻 cause 👏🏻 men 👏🏻 are 👏🏻 trash 👏🏻 “

Dirty Thirty RN Every single time I have been at the hospital with children, grandchildren, parents & grandparents the nurses make the whole experience the best it can possibly be. Nurses run the show. The doctors are barely there & rarely seen. I love nurses, you all are amazing ♡

I struggle with fully enjoying good times in my life, and going all in emotionally. Instead, I'm emotionally preparing myself for a worst case scenario wrecking ball into my life. I think this might be something many healthcare folks, especially critical care, can relate to. 1/2

Are you always in pain after working a couple shifts in a row? My whole body always aches... joints, feet, back, etc. Does this just go along with nursing or is there more to it for me? Only recently started thinking maybe it’s not the norm.

It’s not about Tamiflu. Tamiflu doesn’t have great evidence quite frankly. If your child is not acting right, not eating, not drinking, inconsolable, lethargic, unresponsive, go to the ED! Do not pass go don’t collect $200 go to the ED NOW! Definitively don’t go on Facebook!
