Question 🤔for the wise minds of twitter dot com: The Fed currently holds ~4.2 T of US Treasury securities (per FRED: fred.stlouisfed.org/series/TREAST) What if next week they report only having 2.1 T (i.e., 50% of holdings retired)? My hypothesis: wailing and gnashing but not much else

One of the more interesting Federal agencies I've come across - the Federal Financing Bank. They provide loans to USPS, HBCUs, Rural Utility Service among others. Currently hold $82.5 B in agency debt (as of April 30, 2020). ffb.treasury.gov
