We thank Baroness Kidron for her amazing resilience as she achieves another huge win (287 to 118) in the Lords in support of her amendments to the Data Bill. Don't understand why Govt is so resistant to tech cos being subject to transparency. ISM thetimes.com/article/bd7760…

Great to see Govt addressing the many issues which Brexit has caused businesses. BUT apart from some warm words, Govt has not tackled the mountain of red tape Brexit has caused musicians if they perform in the EU. Please Nick Thomas-Symonds don't forget our musicians. ISM

…But I cannot save the company alone. I just hope that either our political leaders in GOV.UK & Welsh Government finally see sense & step in (from my experiences and many, many conversations with numerous politicians over the last year, a vain hope, I fear)... 4/5 #SaveWNO

You couldn’t make it up! The Telegraph blames the EU & Starmer’s Brexit reset for roaming charges — which were direct result of Boris’s Brexit ! Then it claims farmers fear EU rules could flood the UK with imports — Brexit already did that by slashing subsidies, axing workers

I have been thinking of my friends and colleagues in the #Chorus at WNO this week, who have been forced to re-audition for their jobs. They will hear next week which 2 will be served their notice to exit the company, along with the 8 already departed. Absolutely grim. #SaveWNO

'These planned cuts mean that by 2029, the government is projected to be spending well over a third less per citizen on Culture, Media & Sport in real terms, compared with 2010 – down further from the 32% reduction currently.' - via Campaign for the Arts campaignforthearts.org/news/what-did-…

In Lords I cannot vote at general elections, but if I would have voted Labour I would have done so with number one belief that benefits should be significantly increased to counter poverty and rid us of this hostile environment to claimants. This govt wants to do the opposite.

Stop 🛑 defending Brexit fantasy and start telling the truth!!! Since Brexit, British agriculture has been caught in a peculiar double bind. The damage began with Brexit — but hasn’t ended there. Labour doesn’t need to say it’s anti-farming. Its fiscal plans speak for

1 in 3 of us will become disabled in our lifetime. Yesterday I saw a friend who was involved in an RTC recently, fracturing his ankle, neck and skull and facing a long recovery. The safety net needs to be there for all of us.

Why is there a bulletin every hour for sports on BBC Radio 4 Today & BBC News (UK) broadcasts but not on the creative arts? Creative arts are just as important to society & the economy as sport so why is sport given so much coverage? #CreativeArtsHealthierSociety #DontForgetCreativeArts

Labour MP Rachael Maskell close to tears as she 'pleads' with the government to abandon planned welfare cuts 'These Dickensian cuts belong to a different era and a different party', she said How on earth has it come to this?

It will probably come as no surprise to anyone that Brexit has been slammed as a 'complete disaster' that 'ruined most of the country' in a poll marking nine years since the UK voted to leave the EU mirror.co.uk/news/politics/…
