Everybody takes a photo of the Llanfair P.G. station nameboard, but very few are aware of this - an actual manually operated level crossing (with helpful sign😄). I didn't know such things still existed outside the heritage rail sector!

Anyone know what this is? I think it might be a fossil but I'm sadly ignorant when it comes to matters palaeontological. Found just above the beach between Tywyn & Aberdyfi.

Looking resplendent in its very recently applied large logo blue livery, 50009 arrives at Oxford on Saturday 17th April 1982 with what is about to become a well-loaded 1M07, 1350 Paddington - Liverpool Lime Street.

It's #MidWeekPeak day and this week's find in the loft is 46044 in the customary slightly over-fuelled state at Birmingham New St on 11/9/1982, in charge of 1V85, the 1000 Bradford Exchange - Paignton. Such an everyday sight it attracted hardly attention from the spotters.
