Unlike the reviews which add nothing to the discussion, the qualitative interview excerpts are interesting mostly by what they lack — any narrative of 'rushing'. Consistently it was reported that the process was slow, the wait times onerous and the assessment process long.

For trans people and allies newish to this who might be feeling stressed seeing transphobes celebrating the Cass Review as the end of trans people:

The Cass Report would not pass peer review. I highly doubt they even read their references. She cites an article noting low persistence rates based on conversion therapists' data of 25 kids & another on 1980s figures conflating not returning to a specific clinic with desistance!
