CTE prepares students for the real world by giving them hands-on experiences, such as internships, industry recognized credentials, and providing a strong community network. This paves the way for success with 98% of CTE students having a post high school plan upon graduation.

"Preparing for the real world" was the top choice among all groups who ranked messages related to CTE. Students in CTE programs are 3 times as likely to be very satisfied with their ability to learn real-world skills compared to those not involved in CTE, and their parents agree.

Advance CTE and Siemens Foundation granted NH BCD funding to partner with CTE alumni to peak interest in middle schoolers around CTE. Thanks to alumni for sharing your stories and to Hugh J. Gallen Career and Technical Center and director Al Smith for a great event in Littleton!

At the SRVRTC Technical Career Day event, students participated in hands-on learning activities and had a chance to meet employers in career fields they were interested in. The Bureau of Career Development was there with the MAPs RV and lots of engaging career activities!
