It infuriates me to witness the additional torment that abuse survivors endure within the family court system. The last thing a survivor & their children need is to be further destroyed by the FC system. I know because I lived it for 5 years.The system is an absolute disgrace!

Dissociation comes in varying degrees. Some people may be disconnected from themselves yet appear calm & engaged. It's sometimes subtle & goes unnoticed by onlookers. However, the person disassociating will likely have difficulty recalling details as they shift to autopilot.
