Been colour ringing small no.s Common, Little and Sandwich Terns over the last few weeks. Here's a well grown Sarnie from this afternoon. Lymington-Keyhaven Nature Reserve #Birdringing
04.30 start for CES yesterday: 26 birds, 12 spp. Birding along the seawall till lunchtime. Break. 23:30 finish after Swallow roost (15 juv, 1 adult male), watching 2 pr Nightjar flying over nets, & a Lappet laying eggs in one #BirdRinging Lymington-Keyhaven Nature Reserve
You'll have to take my word for it, but this was one of 6 Hawfinches at Netley Heath today. Also in attendance: 2 Siskins and several Marsh Tits. SurreyBirdClubNews
Great to see more juv Sedge & Reed Warblers in the nets, along with Linnet. Yet to persuade large flocks of Goldfinch feeding on thistle nearby to join them Lymington-Keyhaven Nature Reserve
