Good news was short lived. St. Rt 32 was opened this morning, however water has come back onto the roadway forcing drivers to cross the double yellow line, so it has been closed again. Although the road is open to residents and businesses

we are asking if passing thru to the levy please detour at St. Rt. 32 and Newtown Rd. We are coordinating with HCSO,CPD and ODOT. We thank them and you for all the help.

With the river levels expected to remain high and possibly rise please plan for alternate routes through the weekend and early next week along with more possible road closures. Thank You!

Access to businesses, restaurants and residence is still open. Although we will try our best to help keep things open, our top priority is the safety of the people of our community. Newtown Police and Anderson Fire/Rescue will be inspecting water levels and

Roundbottom Rd. is closed form Newtown corporation to Newtown Farm market for high water on the roadway. Sign diverting at Roundbottom and Valley Ave. Turpin Ln is closed.
