It’s been made clear to every woman who has been abused by their perp that if you ever talk about it, and you don’t even name them, you’re at serious risk of legal action. Most women never get convictions or charges, so this effectively silences every single one of them.

My only takes from the Depp v Heard trial are that the whole thing was vile; and that using the outcome to suggest victims of abuse should be taken less seriously says more about you than it does anything else.
