Making Waves for Safety 🌊 We joined Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service to launch #BeWaterAware on the River Tyne with a dramatic rescue demo, sharing life-saving tips to prevent drownings 💙

Civic lit red, white and blue to honour WW 2 heroes including Adam Wakenshaw, awarded Victoria Cross for courage in face of death. Philip Joyce, awarded six medals including 1939-45 Star for bravery. Harry Garthwaite, mentioned in dispatches for gallantry. We salute you. 🙏♥
