We had our final Java & Jazz yesterday! Our featured album was ELLINTON AT NEWPORT, a live album featuring a famous solo by tenor saxophonist Paul Gonsalves, who improvised for a scorching 27 choruses driving the crowd into a frenzy!

The stage is set, we will see you at the Festival of Bands concert tonight at 7:00 in the high school gym!

We spent the morning working with Mr. Leon Kuehner, the superb retired band director from Hampton-Dumont, & this evening we had the pleasure of working with Dr. Michael Golemo, the director of bands at ISU. The band grew a lot today, huge thank you Mr. Kuehner and Dr. Golemo!

This Friday is our Spring Band Concert featuring the 7th & 8th grade band and the high school band! We invite you to come and support the bands and the seniors who will be performing in their final band concert in Josephine Tope Auditorium! #NevadaCubPride

The high school band got a lot better this morning after having a clinic with Paul Brizzi, retired band director from Ankeny! Mr. Brizzi is a phenomenal music educator and he helped the band students become better musicians in just a short amount of time! #NevadaCubPride

Awesome job to the Nevada Cub Pride Marching band on two great performances today! They performed at the Memorial Day service this morning, and then at Adventureland this afternoon. This was the 8th graders’ first performance with the high school marching band! #NevadaCubPride

The Nevada Cub Pride Marching Band had fun performing at tonight’s halftime, & the band is ready to take on State Center for the Small Town Showdown tomorrow evening! Come support the NCPMB at West Marshall high school tomorrow night! The performance is at 7:45! #NevadaCubPride
