This week was the final round of this season's Lone Wolf League and I managed to finish on a win. I didn't do anything special here, my opponent just walked into a bad pin and then frustration blundered. All in all I went 3/4/2 in the 9 rounds I played.

For the record, I don't think any number of games would be enough to beat Kasparov. I'd just accept that I'm stuck in the timeloop forever.

I went on a bender and played 8 rapid games today. Went 7/1 and am 3 points off my all time high. Retiring now while I'm at the top of my game.

I found this nice little trick in the Alapin a while back in a classical game, and got the opportunity to play it in a rapid game yesterday. My opponent resigned when they realized the trick I had played.

Have you ever had a day when you were on fire with study and doing tactics, so you play a game and it becomes an absolute train wreck within 15 moves?

My 3 y/o nephews wanted to play chess today, so after the most basic instructions I could give, I let them have at it and they reached this masterpiece of a position before abandoning the game for the pool.
