We often decide a console’s legacy based on the games on that platform rather than the console itself. And in that sense, the PS2 probably is the GOAT. It was an important point in game design history too. So, everything pulled together in a pretty perfect way for it.

PC also exists. And Quake came out that year. Was kinda a big time for PC gaming.

Only took thirteen years to make the new one.
