Today we look back and remember Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II's life and service to our country. The Queen represented duty and courage, as well as warmth and compassion. My prayers today are with The King, the Royal Family and all those who loved The Queen.

On the first anniversary of her death, we remember the tremendous service of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Her duty and perseverance made a huge contribution to the United Kingdom and the world. We will never see her like again.

Honouring the memory of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, one year since her passing. Her legacy lives on at Balmoral Estate, a place close to her heart. We remember with gratitude and respect.

This by ⁦Helen Heckety⁩ may well be my book of the year. It starts in a whimsical almost ‘rom com’ tone but quickly sheds light on big life lessons by blending humour and drama. The structure moves the present narrative whilst filling in the back story and ends just right.

A minute's silence will be observed at Victoria station at 12 noon and 10.31pm today to mark the eighth anniversary of Manchester Arena attack.

The Lord Mayor of Manchester, Councillor Carmine Grimshaw, has shared his thoughts on the eighth anniversary of the 22 May 2017 terror attack:

The Lord Mayor of Manchester, Leader of the Council and Chief Executive have laid flowers at the Glade of Light memorial this afternoon in memory of all those killed, injured or affected by the attack on this day in 2017.

Eight years ago today at 10.31pm, an act of terror tragically took twenty-two lives and left many more with life-changing injuries. We pause to honour their memory, to stand with the survivors, and to hold close all those affected. Manchester will never forget. 🐝
