Thrilled to see this important commentary "Rethinking the value of psychology" published in Pediatric Nephrology. Written by our two incredible pediatric psychologists on our team (Drs. Julia LaMotte and Alix McLaughlin) this is a powerful commentary on the importance of their work.

Congrats to first year fellow Dr. Amma Boakye on her award winning presentation at the Indiana Nutrition for Health Research Showcase at Purdue. She did an amazing job discussing the importance of assessing access to food to change outcomes in pediatric ESKD. Amma Boakye

Her research, along with mentor and dialysis director Neha Pottanat, MD found that the prevalence of patients with both food and nutrition insecurity was 48% in pediatric ESKD patients. Nutrition insecurity screening identified an additional 23% of patients with specific barriers!
